Q: Describe these remembrance wreaths and when will they be placed on the gravestones at Black Hills National Cemetery. 
A: The wreaths are handmade from balsam fir and come from northern Maine. Following the donation campaign, the wreaths are ordered and shipped to the cemeteries. Volunteers place the wreaths on the gravestones on December 18, 2021. The wreaths remain on the gravestones through the holiday season and are removed in early January. 

Q: Where will the wreaths that are donated at www.SouthDakotaHonor.com be placed?
A: Black Hills National Cemetery,  South Dakota’s largest national cemetery located just outside of Sturgis. Over 32,000 South Dakota veterans are buried there.

Q: My electronic receipt shows that my donation was processed through Senior Veterans, Inc., P.O. Box 61030, Colorado Springs, CO 80960. Why is that?
A: As Senior Veterans, Inc., is a 501 (c) 3 charity, your confirmation receipt shows our charity’s legal name, our EIN# and the donation amount for tax purposes. Our charity, based in Colorado Springs, has been providing free services to senior veterans and their families for 10 years. For complete transparency, we encourage the public to examine our legal documents listed on our “About Us” page on this site.

Q: Will my donations be tax deductible?
A: Senior Veterans, Inc., is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, EIN# 45-4128580. Your gift may qualify as a taxable deduction for income tax purposes. Please consult your tax advisor and keep your electronic receipt.

Q: Can I donate through the mail?

Q: Will my name, or the name of my company, be listed as a donor on this site for the 2021 campaign?
A: It will unless you check the box on the donation page to remain anonymous. We only list your name, or the name of your company, never the amount of your donation or any proprietary information.

Q: Is there a minimum donation?
A: No, every donation is a gift from a grateful American and every donation provides a wreath for a veteran’s grave.

Q: When can I make wreath donations?
A: We accept wreath donations throughout the year. However, December 1, 2021 is the final day that donations for 2021 are accepted. After that date, donations will be accepted for 2022.

Q: Do any of the parties such as the VA National Cemeteries, Senior Veterans, Inc., Wreaths Across America or any other entity work together or partner in any way?
A: Senior Veterans, Inc. does not work with, represent, speak for or partner with any of the VA’s national cemeteries, Wreaths Across America, Inc., any media outlet, any local, state or federal agency or any any other philanthropic organization of any kind.
